Pod-Trak has successfully completed the final follow-up works at River Alt on the Merseyrail network, between Hightown and Formby, supporting our client Murphy Group as part of the bridge replacement programme.
The team’s scope included the removal and reinstatement of track through the worksite to enable the core bridge construction activities. In addition, a skim renewal was completed on the Up Southport line during the late-August possession, improving the track condition and long-term performance of this busy commuter route.
The works were delivered safely, efficiently and in close collaboration with Murphy Group and Merseyrail, ensuring a smooth handback and minimal disruption to passenger services.
