About the Role
Pod-Trak is seeking a dynamic Senior Project Manager to oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of major infrastructure projects within our Rail & Civils division. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of project performance – including safety, quality, programme, and commercial outcomes – while leading multi-disciplinary teams to deliver works to the highest standards. This is a key leadership position offering the opportunity to shape delivery strategy, drive innovation, and build strong client relationships across the business.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead the delivery of complex rail, civils, and infrastructure projects from inception to completion
• Take full responsibility for project safety, quality, environmental, and commercial performance
• Manage client relationships and act as the primary point of contact throughout the project lifecycle
• Develop and monitor project programmes, budgets, and risk registers
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and legal obligations
• Coordinate internal resources and subcontractors to ensure effective project execution
• Review designs, method statements, and risk assessments to confirm constructability and compliance
• Lead project progress meetings, reporting, and handover documentation
• Drive continuous improvement and promote collaborative working across delivery teams
• Mentor and develop project managers, engineers, and site management staff
Requirements
• Proven experience as a Project Manager or Senior Project Manager within rail, civils, or infrastructure sectors
• Strong technical understanding of civil engineering and multi-disciplinary project delivery
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Demonstrable experience managing projects under NEC and/or JCT contracts
• Strong commercial awareness and understanding of cost control principles
• Proficiency in MS Project or Primavera P6 for programme management
• Ability to lead by example, promoting a positive safety and performance culture
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites
Desirable
• Experience delivering projects in live operational rail environments
• Chartered Engineer (CEng), APM, or equivalent professional qualification
• Experience with design and build or framework delivery models
• Knowledge of utilities, energy, or transport infrastructure interfaces
