About the Role
Pod-Trak is a specialist infrastructure services provider operating across the rail, power, telecoms, and aviation sectors. We deliver complex, multi-disciplinary projects that support the UK’s critical infrastructure, with a strong focus on safety, innovation, and collaboration.
We are currently looking for a Project Manager to take ownership of high-profile projects across the UK, Ireland, and Europe. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead the successful delivery of infrastructure projects that contribute to energy resilience and national connectivity.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead the end-to-end delivery of projects, ensuring completion on time, within budget, and in accordance with contract requirements
• Set and uphold high standards of health, safety, quality, and environmental performance
• Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with client expectations and business capability
• Identify and manage project risks, proactively resolving issues to minimise disruption
• Develop, monitor, and manage detailed project programmes and resource plans
• Provide clear leadership and direction to Site Managers, Engineers, and delivery teams
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and subcontractors
• Oversee commercial aspects including cost control, gross margin management, and financial reporting
• Ensure robust risk assessments and control measures are in place and regularly reviewed
• Manage subcontractor performance to ensure alignment with quality, safety, and delivery standards
• Report regularly on project progress, risks, and opportunities to senior management and clients
Requirements
• Proven experience delivering high-voltage transmission and distribution or major civil engineering projects
• HNC/HND, NVQ Level 5, or degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline
• Experience managing multi-disciplinary projects within regulated infrastructure environments
• Strong commercial awareness and detailed understanding of NEC contract conditions
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
• Proven ability to drive programme performance and project delivery excellence
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel as required
Desirable
• Experience delivering projects in energy, utilities, or rail environments
• Chartered or incorporated engineer status (or working towards)
• Experience in design and build project delivery models
• Strong understanding of digital tools for project planning and reporting
